Each May in Florida, the lovebugs arrive right on schedule. They’re a familiar part of the season—brief, persistent, and gone almost as quickly as they appeared. It’s a small reminder that some things are fleeting.
Many of us also remember The Love Bug—Herbie, with all his quirks and character. He wasn’t perfect, but that was precisely the point. He had personality, dependability, and a certain charm that made people hold onto him.
